B&B Dolcevita - Pompeifrom United StatesCoupleMarch 201610.0Exceptional
It was the best place was stayed at for our entire trip. There was an abundance of electrical outlets. The room was spotless, the breakfast was homemade and good. It was a very short walk to the train station and to the ruins.
It was cash only and the WiFi signal could have been better.

A very clean room and bathroom. The host was very nice and goes that extra mile for you. Good breakfast and the location was ideal for visiting the Roman city of Pompeii.

Friendly family-run hotel, Salvatore was very welcoming and helpful. Ideal location - near rail station but not too noisy, great value for money

Salvatore went out of his way to make us comfortable and welcome. He even came to pick us up when we got off at the wrong station, and gave us fresh cold watermelon on arrival at the b&b. We had a cot for our toddler, and it was beautifully made up for her with blankets and sheets-she loved the duck motif! Room was clean and comfortable, with blockout shutters which were great to keep the heat out. Aircon was lovely to come home to. Breakfast was freshly baked croissants and a custard pastry, all lovely! Would recommend to anyone visiting Pompei, very short walk from Pompei station and the ruins.

A friendly and honest host that went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms were very neat and absolutely clean and the breakfast was freshly prepared not more than minutes before we actually sat down to eat. The attitude of the host was amazing.
The shower cubicle had shower curtains which does not work well if the cubicle is small.

Host Salvatore was very hospitable and helpful, really went the extra mile. Comfortable accommodation and well located, close to station and excavations. Would definitely stay there again.
Room was spotless and user-friendly but a blockage in shower drain meant only one of party managed a shower that day. Wifi signal weak (but this seemed general throughout Italy)

Dolcevita is run by Salvatore, he was a pleasure to stay with. We drove to Pompei, arriving late at night, asked for directions from a nearby Gas station, who called up Salvatore, we arrived at his place just before he came looking for us on his scooter. He was very helpful with getting our car parked and provided breakfast on time, always cheerful in all interactions. He provided many recommendatiions for places to eat and a strategy for getting our site seeing objectives accomplished. The B&B was the least expensive place we stayed while travelling in Italy. It represents a good value for the money. The place was clean and had a good bed.
It is on a busy street so there is some street noise, but nothing that couldn't be dealt with.

I liked everything about this b and b, Salvatore the owner was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were comfortable and clean with nice decor and the location of the Dolcevita is perfect, just 10 mins from the ruins. Also the room rates are very good. This place is better than many 3 and 4 star hotels i've stayed in.
The breakfast is basic continental, but it's like that in most places in Italy but thats it.

Bright clean rooms in a very good location for visiting Pompei ruins and for city square ,beautful church by the way! bars, restaurants very handy also the railway station for trains to Sorrento and to Naples but double check your route as it is not the Pompei Scavi station though. The owners were really lovely so helpful even though we arrived very early, made us coffee on the little roof terrace. We also had access to the little kitchen where they make breakfast and use of the fridge. A lot of time and thought has gone into making this B and B WARM AND WELCOMING at a very reasonable price.
The entrance is not very inspiring but dont be decieved it is an excellent budget place to stay

B&B Dolcevita - Pompeifrom United StatesCoupleDecember 20157.4Very good
The Owner Salvatore is really friendly , and helpfull with information about whats to see and where to go. The Breakfast on the Rooftop is wonderfull and prepared nicely from Salvatore.... The Rooms are clean and there is nothing to complain....just a little advice for next travelers.....2 Of the Rooms are located on a small , haevy traffic street and if the business starts at 7am , you will automaticly wake up.. So ask on your booking for a room not on the Street....there also 2 Rooms available. Otherwise we can recommend this B&B for a Trip to see Vesuv and Pompeji...its perfect to reach the ruins by feet....and definitly a good choice what you get for youre money..... Eckart / Germany

B&B Dolcevita - Pompeifrom United StatesFamily with childrenDecember 20158.8Superb
Dolcevita is very well located in the center of the town of Pompei, within very easy walking distance (5 minutes or less) to the Circumvesuviana train station, and the main square of the town where the Duomo is located, and the entrance to the ruins of Pompeii (the Piazza Anfiteatro entrance, not the Porta Marina entrance). The host, Salvatore, is very friendly and very helpful and enthusiastic about providing all kinds of information about visiting the nearby ancient ruins (Pompeii, Herculaneum, Boscoreale, and Oplontis), climbing Mt. Vesuvius, and visiting Naples. He also will provide suggestions for local dining, shopping and car parks (in case you are arriving by car as there is no street parking near the b&b). Dolcevita has 4 rooms (on the second floor of the building) with private washrooms, and at least two of the rooms have a balcony that overlooks the main street. Breakfast (which includes fresh fruits and vegetables from Salvatore’s own garden) is served on the rooftop terrace and there is a kitchen with a small fridge available to the guests if they want to make tea or store some food during their stay. The double room we stayed in was a reasonable size and was located at the back so it was very quiet for sleeping. The triple room that our 3 adult children shared was just a tiny bit cramped for 3 adults (the size is better suited for 2 adults) but it was at the front of the building and had a balcony that overlooked the street. Both rooms were very clean and each had 2 bedside tables, a small lockable wall safe, satellite tv, working a/c, a small table and 2 chairs, and free internet access that worked!
Although the bathrooms are a reasonable size, the shower stalls in the bathrooms are very small, and the bathrooms could use some wall shelves for toiletries and some wall hooks for hanging towels and clothes. The roof top terrace is underwhelming and could really use some sprucing up.

Our host, Salvatore, was the most helpful host we'd ever met. Every request was answered promptly and he was a wealth of information regarding the various sights and museums in and around the Pompeii/Vesuvius region. Breakfast was a delight on his rooftop terrace and he brought us fresh picked grapes from his garden!
